I met Bob Saget three times that I can recall. He was always pleasant and often avoided direct questions. My perception of him was of a Hollywood vet. Corner table at Craig’s. He seemed to know the ins and outs of the entire town. Everybody saw him coming for a mile away. Bob Saget made me want to become a comedian, and I still do.

He always had a nice car and was quick-witted. His beautiful wife by his side or out to dinner with friends. He didn’t need the press, but everyone loves a photo or two. In a TMZ video, he jokes with the paparazzo, “I don’t do standing interviews.” He was always like that—a really nice guy. The love is pouring out from across the internet. TLP sends condolences to his family, friends, and fans.

What did Bob Saget mean to you? I can tell you what he meant to me. Full House influenced generations of kids, myself included. All of us growing up with Danny Tanner in our homes, you almost felt like you knew him. I imagine that would be hard, everyone thinking they know you.

America’s funniest’s home video was groundbreaking television, and that alone should cement Mr. Saget in the vaults of the Television’s Hall of Fame. He was the precursor to the ubiquity of video on mobile devices. Also, a legendary stand-up, known for his adult humor. Consequently, the comedy world mourns. Another fallen God. So much damage to the community in such a short time. I want to gather with you at the comedy clubs to laugh and hear the stories of the great Bob Saget!

Page Six reported the Saget Family’s statement, “we are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today.  He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter, Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Bob Saget was estimated to have a net worth of around $50 million at the time of his death. He was a much-beloved figure in American culture and he will be greatly missed. He pointed the way and perhaps curated the first memes on America’s Funniest Home Videos. Rest in Peace Bob Saget superhero of American Culture!
